Terms & Conditions
B & L Window Tinting
1. Quotes & Acceptance
All quotes provided by B & L Window Tinting are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
Acceptance of a quote (written, verbal, or by proceeding with booking) constitutes agreement to these Terms & Conditions.
Final pricing may vary if site conditions differ from those originally provided (e.g. incorrect measurements, additional panes, access issues).
2. Measurements & Customer-Provided Information
Where quotes are based on measurements or photos supplied by the client, it is the client’s responsibility to ensure accuracy.
Any discrepancies may result in a revised quote.
3. Deposits & Payments
A deposit may be required to secure a booking.
Full payment is due upon completion of works unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Late payments may incur additional fees.
4. Installation Conditions
The client must ensure clear and safe access to all work areas at the time of installation.
Furniture, blinds, curtains, and other obstructions should be removed prior to installation unless otherwise arranged.
Additional charges may apply if the installer is required to move items or if access is restricted.
5. Glass & Surface Condition Disclaimer
B & L Window Tinting takes every precaution in assessing risks associated with each installation.
Due to the variability in glass and painted surfaces, including but not limited to pre-existing damage, imperfections, age, prior stress, or non-factory finishes, there is an inherent risk when applying window film or paint protection film.
B & L Window Tinting is not liable for any damage to glass or painted surfaces that may occur during or after installation.
By accepting the quote, the client acknowledges and accepts this risk.
6. Film Performance & Expectations
Performance figures (e.g. heat rejection, glare reduction) are based on manufacturer specifications and may vary depending on glass type and installation conditions.
Visual characteristics such as slight distortion, haze, reflectivity, or minor dust particles are normal.
7. Warranty (General)
Manufacturer warranties apply to products supplied, subject to correct care and conditions.
Warranty does not cover:
Glass breakage or paint damage
Pre-existing damage or defects
Improper cleaning or maintenance
External factors (e.g. impact, building movement, environmental conditions)
8. Cancellations & Rescheduling
A minimum of 24–48 hours notice is required to reschedule or cancel a booking.
Late cancellations may result in a cancellation fee or forfeiture of deposit.
9. Cleaning & Aftercare (Residential & Commercial)
Clients must follow all aftercare instructions provided.
Window film should not be cleaned for at least 30 days after installation.
Failure to follow care instructions may void warranty.
10. Automotive Window Tinting
The client must disclose any aftermarket modifications, existing tint, damage, or electrical issues (e.g. window regulators, demisters, sensors) prior to installation.
B & L Window Tinting is not responsible for pre-existing faults that may become apparent during or after installation.
Removal of existing film may expose damage to glass, demister lines, or adhesives — this risk is accepted by the client.
Minor contamination, distortion, or water pockets may be visible after installation and will typically settle during curing.
Vehicles with aftermarket or non-standard glass may carry a higher risk of installation issues.
11. Paint Protection Film (PPF)
PPF is designed to protect painted surfaces but will not prevent all damage (e.g. heavy impacts, sharp objects, or extreme conditions).
Pre-existing damage such as stone chips, scratches, swirl marks, or resprayed panels may remain visible or become more noticeable after installation.
Adhesion on repainted or non-factory surfaces cannot be guaranteed.
B & L Window Tinting is not liable for lifting, peeling, or damage on these surfaces.
Future removal of PPF carries a risk of paint lift, particularly on non-factory finishes.
Edges of film may be visible depending on vehicle design.
12. Curing & Aftercare (Automotive & PPF)
Window tint and PPF require a curing period. During this time:
Do not wind down windows for 2 days after tint installation
Avoid washing the vehicle for 7-14 days after PPF installation
Temporary visual imperfections such as haze, moisture, or slight bubbling are normal and will typically resolve.
13. Warranty (Automotive & PPF Specific)
Manufacturer warranties apply to films used, subject to proper care.
Warranty does not cover:
Damage from accidents, impact, or misuse
Normal wear and tear (including high-contact areas)
Improper cleaning methods or products
Issues related to pre-existing conditions or non-factory finishes
14. Liability Limitation
To the extent permitted by law, B & L Window Tinting’s liability is limited to the cost of the services provided.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
15. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
